Will Cole

Programme Director

Will started at One Southwark in September 2021. A youth work professional with over 15 years’ experience across London, Will has worked with Southwark based charities KickStart, Catch22 (Southwark) and Power2.

For Will, One Southwark is personal. Having grown up in the borough, he whole-heartedly believes in the potential of the young people who live there. Will knows first-hand the transformative power of having the right support network around a young person.

Now, he wants to make this the norm for the borough – especially for those from underrepresented communities. Through One Southwark, he feels he has the opportunity to make meaningful change.

His favourite spot in Southwark is Gaol (pronounced locally as ‘Jail’) park, located on the Rockingham estate. Will spent most of his childhood in this park learning how to play football, socialising with friends, and having the odd water fight. His parents still live in the area, so Will often gets the chance to walk through the park and relive fond memories.

Outside of his passion for helping young people reach their potential, Will is also a long-suffering Man United fan and still carries hope of them bringing back the glory days.

Ebony Onwubolu

Programme Coordinator

Ebony joined One Southwark in May 2023. Her professional journey began in mental health, where she became a qualified counsellor. Ebony’s passion for helping young people led her to work in schools and colleges in Southwark as a School Engagement Manager, where she was able to directly engage with the community and understand young people’s needs.

It was One Southwark’s person-centred ideals and ambition to level the playing field that first drew Ebony’s professional attention, and Ebony has loved reconnecting to the borough where she was born and lived in for a time.

Born in Aylesbury estate and with family living in Nunhead, Ebony says her favourite part of Southwark is Peckham because of its ability to bring together so many cultures and great cooking! If you’re ever in the area, Ebony recommends Plantain Kitchen in Peckham Levels.

Between helping young people, travelling, watching movies, and getting involved in all things fashion and style, Ebony has also taught herself to do acrylic nails – so if you ever see her, you’re likely to see them done. She’s also a big advocate for things that allow people to express themselves in a healthy way, and hopes she can bring this energy to her role.
